I am interested in edible clumping bamboo varieties that will grow in north Florida. We currently have a Bambusa textilis in the back yard. We planted it last year and it is not big enough to harvest culms from. We also have a Bambusa oldhamii that did not do very well during the freezes this year. Is anyone else growing edible bamboos...I would enjoy hearing about your experiences and your recipes.
